Substitute and Satisfaction Old Testament Part Two

Substitute and Satisfaction were part of the Old Testament requirement in the Passover. On the tenth day of the first month, the Hebrews shred a one year male lamb without any defect found in Ex. 12. They put the blood on the exterior door post. So when angel of the Lord pass throughout the land Egypt to pass judgement on the Egyptians by killing oldest sons and the cattle throughout country. When the angel saw the blood on the post he spared the family within the household, and Passover it. And struck down the oldest son and cattle that did not have the blood on the post. The lamb was substituted that took Israelite place. The blood on post meant God was satisfied spared the family.

When Adam and Eve fell into sin why did God wait 4,000 years to sent His Son to take mankind place, why not send Jesus after when Adam and Eve fell into sin to avoid the senseless slaughter millions or even billions of animals?
If bulls, goats, and lambs were needed and impossible for blood bulls and goats to take away sin; why enacts this system just have Jesus when man fell into sins? Since the cattle did not violate God’s law why bear mankind punishment that violated God’s moral code? The short answer is God needed established a sacrificial system and the moral law a guild line.

Because of this, elaborated system in which God lay down for Israelite a blood atonement was required to atone for our sins, as scripture state for without shredding of blood it was impossible forgive sins. Furthermore the Bible states,” For the [life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls. For example, when cut yourself you start bleeding it foam clog so infection and blood lost will not occur. Than blood vessel open up create white cell in which healing occurs.
The sacrificial system was foreshadowed of thing to come a better sacrifice would take it place for two reasons; One without shredding blood there would be no forgiveness and it was impossible for blood bulls and goats to take away sin, because mankind was more valuable than sheep.

Throughout the Old Testament they’re, many types of Christ, for example the who committed no sin animal took Adam and Eve place when they fell into sin, the lamb found in bush took Isaac place instead Isaac being sacrifice took it place . A heifer took the place of unsolved murder even thou heifer did not commit the murder it require by law that sacrifice was required .
Passover
On the first Passover, a Jewish family would shred a one year male lamb without any defect than they would put the blood on the exterior door post. So when arngel of the Lord pass throughout the land Egypt to pass judgement on the Egyptians by killing oldest sons and the cattle throughout country. When the angel saw the blood on the post he spared the family within the household, and Passover it. and struck down the oldest son and cattle that did not have the blood on the post, Passover was then celebrated on the tenth day of the first month thereafter according to Ex. 12 it would last seven days. The lamb was substituted that took Israelite place. The blood on post meant God was satisfied and spared the family and Passover that household.
The oldest son was held in highest esteem, and A Jewish household would’ve a special ritual for the first born male. They were spared from being judge and put to death because of the blood on the posts in their household. In short, the sacrificial systems was needed for Jesus to fulfilled the ceremonial law.

The sacrificial system is where animals is offered to God for the payment of mankind sin. A commentary stated these words, “The burnt offerings are actually ascension offerings that ascend up into the presence of God. They represent the concept that one’s offerings to the Lord are totally consumed and surrendered unto Him.” During the old testament era, the sacrificial system was meant atoning the Israelite for their sins. It’s shame many of the Israelites misunderstood the sacrificial system As commentary stated, “ This is exactly where the Israelites of Isaiah’s day were failing. In many ways, they were still acknowledging the outward trappings and legal ceremonies of the sacrificial system without any real heart for the things of God. Therefore, their various religious trappings are condemned severely as the prophet speaks for God Himself. “ Yet, another quote said bests’“ You can be a member of a church and hotly resent the things of the Spirit. You may be very interested in religious organizations, in religious activities, in denominations, in activities of your particular church, and so on, but it may have nothing to do with minding the things of the Spirit. Indeed, as I say, it can be the greatest enemy of such things.” To atones for our sins, to me these selves righteous hypocrite lives in more bondage and was worst off than a harlot.

Unintentional Sin
The sin offering found Leviticus chapters 4 to 6 until verse 7. It’s going into great details about unintentional sin of even thou it touches on such sin as, deceiving a neighbor and swearing falsely. It goes to great details when a priest committed unintentionally sins, community commit unintentionally sin, or a leader commits unintentionally or individual sins commit unintentionally. The Free Dictionary defines unintentional: Not deliberate or intentional; or accidentally. If someone sins and without knowing it violates any of the LORD’s commands concerning anything prohibited, he bears the consequences of his guilt. Matthew Henry commentary penned these words, “We must be jealous over ourselves, to ask for pardon for the sin, and make satisfaction for the wrong, which we do but suspect ourselves guilty of.”
If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, although they do not know it, they are guilty and will be held responsible They each would bring a lamb as their sin offering, they will bring a female without defect. They shall lay their hand on its head and slaughter it. Anyone who cannot afford a lamb is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the Lord as a penalty for their sin one for a sin offering and the other for a burned offering. Anyone who cannot afford a lamb is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the Lord as a penalty for their sin. But, if he cannot afford two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he may bring two quarts of fine flour as an offering for his sin. He must not put olive oil or frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering. In Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh. Also says in, Hebrew 9; 22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Since blood is required to forgive sins, why was fine flour allow as sin offer? The answer is that it was offered on top of a fire offering on the altar that did have blood, and this gave the meal offering the value of a blood sacrifice. They shall bring it to the priest who shall take a handful of it as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar on top of the food offerings presented to the Lord. It is a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for them for any of these sins they have committed, and they will be forgiven. In forgiveness of sins, ‘everyone should be included in God’s Kingdom. In Job 1; 5; When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, “Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did every morning.

Two Goats
There’s an adage when commit a sin brother or sister nip in the bud: the free dictionary defines it, to put an end to something before it develops into something larger. To often, we allow little problems develop unto big problem. In short, we all our guilty committing unintentional sins and they need to be forgiving as well put behind us.
There’s phase that often use among friends or those who commit a felony when they’re in trouble and one them get caught they not to rat out on their friends the phase is called the escape goat; Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines as; one that bears the blame for others; for example, The CEO was made the scapegoat for the company’s failures. The biblical example of escape goat; There’re two goat one is sacrifice while other goes into the desert and takes the people sins away Merriam-Webster Dictionary define; is a goat that was symbolically burdened with the sins of the people and killed on Yom Kippur to rid Jerusalem of its iniquities; or another example, found in Oxford Dictionary a goat sent into the wilderness after the Jewish chief priest had symbolically laid the sins of the people upon it. There were two goats were used one was sacrifice on an altar by high priest to atone for the sins of the people and for the Lord. While thee other goat carries the sins of the people into the wilderness. Found in found in Leviticus 16: 7- 10’ and the people cast for the two goats–one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat. Found in Leviticus 16:8 He is to cast lots for the two goats–one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat. The only high priest in Aaron line is to perform act and only once year.

The moral and ceremonial laws is a fore shadow of Christ In when He will fulfil the moral and ceremonial laws and do away the ceremonial laws as scripture states, In short the Jewish sacrificial system was design to bear our sins, and the animals took our sins even thou they committed no sin, however, it was meant for foreshadow for better a sacrifice that came from heaven, namely Jesus who needed to be both God and man to atones for our sins. Since the animals were created little lower than mankind, and they had dominion over them and man was created in God’s image fell into sin. God sent himself die for our sins, and became our propitiation. As scriptures stated,”Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.“
