Susan Akins and Tex Watson
Tex and Susan were part of the Mason Family and were ordered by Charles Mason to murder the people who were dwelling in the Melcher resident, 1050 Cielo Drive in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. They butchered four people and shot one person named Steve Parent. Next night they went to LaBianca resident located at 3,301 Waverly Drive in Los Feliz hills and mutilating two more people. Both Tex and Susan were charged for seven counts of first degree. In 1971 they were sentenced to death, by legal injection, but California’s 1,972 ban the death penalty, and changed their sentence to life in prison.
Charles Tex Watson was born in born in Farmersville, Texas, on December 2, in 1945. His parents attended Copeville Methodist Church and he reared in godly family, and lived a God fearing life. He was an honor-roll student and respected athlete. He went to California to find meaning , and fulfillment in his life, and felt something was missing in his life, and felt his family was not fulfilling his desire. He met Charles Mason, and joined his family, and was his right hand man in the family.
On August 8, 1969, Manson directed Watson to take Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian and Patricia Krenwinkel to “that house where Melcher used to live” and “totally destroy everyone in with the home, as gruesome as you can.” The accidental occupants of the house were movie actress Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykow- ski, and Abigail Folger. When an unknown car approached driven by an unwitting 18-year-old named Steven Parent, Watson ignored his pleas for mercy and shot him four times in the chest and abdomen murdering five people in total. The next night, six “Manson Family” members, Leslie Van Houten, Steve “Clem” Grogan and the four from the previous night were driven into Los Angeles by Charles Manson (who was displeased by their performance and pledged to show them “how to do it murder two more people were killed. They were Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. He was a successful businessman in the supermarket industry. Rosemary had two children from a previous marriage Suzan and Frank Jr.
After the murders , Tex left the Manson’s family and returned home to his family in Texas. On November 30th, 1969 he was arrested and charged with the Tate-Labianca murders. On October 21, 1971, Watson was found guilty, and sentenced to death. He escaped execution when the California Supreme Court’s overturned the death penalty, and he was sentenced to life in prison.
While in prison he was extremely restless, and his mother encouraged him trust in Christ and prayed for him as well; however, there was still no peace in his life. One day He was attending chapel service, and he heard a message on one 1 Timothy 1; 15- 16; “ This is a trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners “–and I am the worst of them. But, I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate His extraordinary patience for instance to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.” According to pastor preached this message the Apostle Paul was a head strong man and intended to destroyed the church until Christ met him on the road to Damascus, and changed Paul life. Tex than confess repent, and believed in Christ. There was a peace and ecstatic joy that he never felt before in his life. When he went back to his cell , he looked into the mirror, and he saw a smile on his face that brightened up his cell. According to Tex, he never experience this while on drugs or alcohol. The only experience he felt was unending sadness, no rest, and no pleasure in his life only misery. Although it costs him arm and leg, When committed the seven murders he was high on hallucinogenic drug known as belladonna a powerful drug? That cause you wholly lose touch with reality. He lost his know-how to chose between right and wrong, Yet in his own words he was ultimately responsible for taking the drugs and committing the horrifying murders. When he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into life. the heaviness he felt was gone, and a smile was on his face. The sorrow and restlessness were gone, and it was replaced with endless happiness and it was all for free. He spent all kinds of money on drugs and alcohol and in which brought him no joy. Yet, the free gift from God Jesus brought him endless delight.
While it took time or two to forgive himself for committing these horrendous murders; however, overtime he learned to forgive himself, and took full responsibility for his actions in the Tate-Labianca murders. In Tex Walton own words he wrote, “ These crimes, which I deeply regret, were atrocious. It was a tragedy not only for the victims, but for their families, to whom I eternally and humbly apologize. I owe a debt to society that I can never repay.”
Susan Labianca daughter of Rosemary Labianca who became a Christian started corresponding with Tex through mail, Tex corresponded back thinking she writing to encourage him. She finality came to visited Tex in prison. She finally revealed herself as the daughter of Rosemary Labianca. Tex was stunned, and in tears, Because Susan became a follower of Christ as a Christian she felt obligation to forgive Tex for killing his mother and step dad, because Tex was a brother in the Lord, and has change.
The key to living a Christian life is that is forgiving others and yourself as Christ you. Both Tex and Susan learned over period of time that bitterness is an awful weed that consumed your heart, soul, and mind As scripture states, has changed and became a new creature In Christ he learned to forgive himself as Christ did.
As scriptures states,” be kind to one another, tender-hearted forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. All who follow Christ, new creature in Christ, As scriptures states, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away and look; new things have come.”
Tex Walton Beliefs
He rejects “legalistic Christianity,” where people are led to believe they can earn their salvation through their own good works, because right-standing with God is possible only through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. He lives every day reaching out to unbelievers with the grace of God and prays with believers to understand their awesome inheritance obtained through their union with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.

A Quote From Tex Watson
“In the world when something is broken, it is set aside. But in the Kingdom of God, He sets aside the unbroken thing. It is the precious, broken thing that He uses to confound the wise and show the world His glory through vessels of clay.”
Susan Denise Atkins was born on May 7, 1948 in San Gabriel, California. Her mother had cancer and died in 1963. In 1967, she met Charles Manson renamed her, Sadie.
On August 9,, 1969, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, and Patricia Krenwinkel, and Charles “Tex” Watson they were instructed by Charles Mason to kill everyone in the dwelling in the Melcher resident. They butchered five people. While Susan Aiken holding Sharen Tate she pleading with Tex and Susan to spare her, and her eight month baby , she uttered these words, ”Look bitch, I don’t care about you. I don’t care if you’re going to have a baby or not. You’re going to die and I don’t feel anything about it.” She felt no guilt in her mind Sharon look like store mannequin.
On August 10, 1969, accordingly Charles Manson the murders at the Tate residence they committed had been too messy, and he wanted to show them how it’s done. Manson took Atkins, Krenwinkel, Watson, Linda Kasabian, Leslie Van Houten, and Steve “Clem” Grogan, They committed the same gruesome act on the Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary as they did at the Melcher resident..
On October 1969, the Manson Family were arrested for arson, however, the charges were dropped, and, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian Patricia Krenwinkel, Leslie Van Houten, Steve “Clem” Grogan were charged with seven count murder in first-degree m Susan Aiken was also charged with Hinman murder. Even thou Susan Atkins’ testified at grand jury for lighter sentence, however she refused to testify at the trial. Much to delight of Vince Bug-lios lead Prosecutor Attorney in the case because she was largely responsible for committing the murders .
On March 29, 1971, Atkins was found guilty, and sentenced to death, along with all of the other defendants, and sentenced executed California gas chamber, however, California Supreme Court 1972 over turn the death penalty by four to three decision, and changed it life sentence to life.
First arrived in prison she received a bible toss it aside, but unknown to her, a large number of people were praying for her. She start reading the Bible. In 1974 Susan Atkins became corresponding with born-again Christian Bruce Davis, a clan member. In September of 1974, Jesus knocked her hardened, and she accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord gone was her bitter heart, and replace with soft heart. According to Susan Christ assured her that in the depths of her soul that “old things had passed away, behold all things have become new,” II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.” And she was committed to following the real Messiah. On her website, she wrote Matthews 3; ; 8: as prove when you repent of your sins and turned to God it would produce a fruit consistent with repentance. God love even murderer like Susan Akins and forgave her

I am convince that both Tex Watson and Susan Atkins are committed follower of Christ, and recognize the seven murders they committed where unspeakable, and repented both to God, and the victim’s families for abominable acts they committed. Although Susan denies killing eight victims she was found guilty. On March 29, 1971. She was at both of the crimes scene, and did not stop the murders from occurring, making her equally responsible for her actions, and she acknowledged that at the 1,993 parole hearing.
However, both Tex and Susan would’ve lived an exemplary life within any their community, and would’ve provide a valuables serve within their community, and would not relive the event of 09, 10 August 1969 again. That being said, because of the horrendous act they committed back in 1969 their punishment was just, and fair. They should be remain behind bars for rest of their natural lives. Obviously, they were both remorseful, and showed in their own actions and live styles by emending their lives, by being good citizen in jail. However, due nature the of their crimes they should remain in prison, and continue to serve God. As Scriptures states, “ For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.” On September 24, 2009. Susan Atkins feels asleep while still in prison, and she woke up in heaven. They read Psalm 23 to her, and she recited it back, “ Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me. The evil she committed on August 09 10 1969 will not be remember no more in heaven. Tex Watson remains in prison to this day that He was denied parole fourteen times. His next hearing is schedule for Nov 2016.
