Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven.” And some of the scribes said to themselves, “This fellow blasphemes.” 4And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5″Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk. ‘Matthew 9; 1-4
Divine Healing is defined as; God heals people through the power of the Holy Spirit, often involving the laying on of hands. It is also called supernatural healing, divine healing, and miracle healing, among other things. Biblical healing is defined such notable as Elijah, Jesus and Paul or the apostles. For example found in Later, when Jesus sent His twelve disciples out to preach the gospel, He gave them authority to heal the sick (Luke 9:1-2). After Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, the apostles continued healing many (Acts 5:12-16). Acts records a number of healings by Peter, John, and Paul (19:12; 28:8-9). Forgiving one sins is defined as; The Greek word for forgive is “aphiēmi” which means “to send away,” to “depart,” or “to yield up” which means you send away from ever being in the presence of either party. That means that if my brother offends me and I forgive him, then I “send away” the offense from myself and from him so that it is never brought up again. If a person keeps bringing the same offense up then they have never really sent it away or they haven’t truly forgiven you. True biblical and godly forgiveness is this; “God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom 5:8) and “while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life” (Rom 5:10).
A person who believe God’s Healing when discussing aHealing was a miraculous sign gift to be used for special purposes. It was not intended as a permanent way to keep the Christian community in perfect health. Yet today most charismatics teach that God wants every Christian well. If that is true, why does God allow Christians to get sick in the first place?Divine Forgiveness. God’s restoration of relationship that entails the removal of objective guilt. Thus, to forgive the offense against God’s holiness or the perpetrator of the offense are synonymous. Forgiveness can be extended both to nations (especially Israel) and to individuals. Merriam Webster Dictionary defines; to stop feeling anger toward (someone who has done something wrong) : to stop blaming (someone): to stop feeling anger about (something) : to forgive someone for (something wrong.
In excellence book by John MacAuthor called Charismatic Chaos he wrote following; Scripture reveals six noteworthy characteristics of Jesus’ healing ministry (in contrast to those who profess miraculous healings today):1. Jesus healed with a word or a touch…
1.There were no theatrics, no special environment.
2. Jesus healed instantly… People often say, “I’ve been healed, and now I’m getting better.”Jesus never did “progressive” healing. If Jesus had not healed instantly, there would have been no miraculous element sufficient to demonstrate His deity. His critics could easily have said the healing was just a natural process.
3. Jesus healed totally… There was no recuperation period
4. Jesus healed everyone. Unlike healers today, Jesus did not leave long lines of disappointed people who had to return home in their wheelchairs. He did not leave healing services or programs that ended at a certain time because of airline or television schedules.
5. Jesus healed organic disease. Jesus did not go up and down Palestine healing lower back pain, heart palpitations, headaches, and other invisible ailments. He healed the most obvious kinds of organic disease – crippled legs, withered hands, bind eyes, palsy – all healings that were undeniably miraculous.
6. Jesus raised the dead… People who tout the gift of healing today do not spend much time in funeral parlors, funeral processions, or cemeteries.
Since no charismatic healer can come up with genuinely verifiable cases of instant healing involving organic disease; since no charismatic healer heals everyone who comes for healing and hundreds go away from their services as sick or crippled as when they came; since no charismatic healer raises the dead; since the Word of God needs no confirmation outside itself and is sufficient to show the way of salvation; since charismatic healings are based on a questionable theology of the atonement and salvation; since charismatic writers and teachers appear to disallow God His own purposes in allowing people to be sick; since charismatic healers seem to need their own special environment; since the evidence they bring forth to prove healings is often weak, unsupported, and over-exaggerated; since charismatics are not know for going into hospitals to heal though there are plenty of faithful people in hospitals; since most instances of healings by charismatics can be explained in ways other than God’s unquestioned supernatural intervention; since charismatics get sick and die like everyone else; since so much confusion and contradiction surrounds what is happening – let me ask the return question: How do you explain it? It certainly is not the biblical gift of healing. Healings are occurring today. But the biblical gift of healing is not present.
A teacher evangelist whom a greatly admired once said these words. If all the gifts that he what would desire most would be to have the gift of healing. Go to the hospital and heal all the sick and relief them of their suffering. Like Jesus displayed over 2,000 year ago where He instantly heal all the sick in every town visited no recuperation time and no side effect. As scripture declares, “Jesus was going all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease, and sickness among the people. As Jesus declared, “See that you don’t tell anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest. A standard Jewish practices when someone cure of disease or illness found in Leviticus 14:3. For example, we see a medical doctor when we’re sick, and when feel much better than he she would declare the person healed.
Not like the many healers in today age who would make bold claims that they have the gift of healing, the sick, physical disable and the lame. Unfortunately, many who attend this meeting are disappointed, and disillusion when they leave the arena.
For example Joni Eareckson Tada, a quadriplegic resulting from diving accident, and was paralyzed from the shoulders down. Her One day while she and sister were watching tv, and an ad about Kathryn Kuhlman was coming to Washington a faith healer who claimed to healed the sick, physical disable and the lame. Joni and sister went expecting, and believed God would heal her. At the end of meeting to her dismay, she still in her a wheelchair, and the usher wheel her along other disable people to the elevator. She asks this question herself, what wrong with this picture?
She develops a bitter root and wanted to die, and went into her room and miserable to those who tried to help her. One day her sister opens up the drapes and gave sister gave her a Bible to read. While flipping through it she read Mark 1; 38 Jesus stated, “ He said to them, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.” It hit her like a ton bricks that Jesus mission was to proclaim the gospel. According to Joni the real problem was her sin in her live in which it separated her from God, in which eventually would lead her to hell. While sickness, the disable, and the lame was cause and effect of sin. It was not paralysis in which left her in a wheelchair cause and efect it was bitter spirit that indwells her soul, it was sin in her life that separate her from God. That why Jesus came to atone for her sins. The main purpose why Jesus came into the world is to redeem us from our sins. Scripture states, KJV Commentary wrote, “His extended ministry is to preach in the next towns. The miracles He performed provided the validity of the authority, and thus, His message.” The bigger picture was sin not the sick. “ Anyone person who has ounce of decency would not take advantage anyone in this state. Many healers live of the vulnerable.
While Jesus healed the sick, This same Jesus uttered these words as well. “If your hand or your foot causes your downfall, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire. And if your eye causes your downfall, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, rather than to have two eyes and be thrown into hellfire!”
How many recorded event throughout the scriptures were miracles, healing, casting out demons and the rising of the dead, occur on regular bases? Three times, First during when Jewish people were slaves in Egypt, when Mose, Aaron and Joshua performed 10 plagues on Pharaoh and Egyptian people, dividing of Red Sea, plus Manna from Heaven fed to the Jews, and Ten Commandment and Ceremonial Laws. Stop Jordan River from flowing, and with a great shout from the Jewish people Jericho Wall fell down.
Secondly during Elijah, and Elisha reign prophets. Elijah predict it would not rain for three years, feeding widow, her son, and Elijah with handful of flour and a little oil in the jar, rising widow son from the dead, fire from heaven that consumed the water, and alter, 450 Baal prophets and Elijah went to heaven whirlwind from heaven in a Chariot. Elisha purifying bad water with salt, commanded the widow get as many vessels and filled them with oil to pay debt. Changed poisonous stew into good stew, and healed Captain a valiant warrior of leprosy.
Thirdly Jesus and Apostles; Jesus stated these words The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives,And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed To proclaim the favourable year of the Lord.” Furthermore He stated, Don’t assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all things are accomplished.Throughout the whole gospel without question Jesus endless miracles, healing countless blind, leper and the lame, casting out demons, rising the dead even after four days, feeding four thousands, commanding the wind to cease, and waves in the sea to instantly be still. In John gospel ”And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written. Yet, the despite signs and wonders that Jesus performed, however that not His mission, Jesus declare these words to the paralytic man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” He also declares to the scribes these words, “Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’? But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” He told the paralytic, “ get up, pick up your mat, and go home.” Jesus also stated to His disciples, “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.” Believer Commentary wrote, “ His great emphasis was on preaching the Word. The healing miracles, while intended to relieve human misery, were also designed to gain attention for the preaching. KJV Commentary wrote,” His extended ministry is to preach in the next towns. The miracles He performed provided the validity of His authority, and thus, His message. Nelson Illustrated Bible Commentary He came to preach and to proclaim God’s message. For this purpose: Christ modeled singleness of purpose. He would not let anything distract Him—not the temptations of Satan (1:12, 13), not the well-intentioned advice of Peter (Matt. 16:22). Note his model in Heb. 12:1-3.
Jesus gave the same authority to His twelve disciples, scripture declares these words, “Summoning His 12 disciples, He gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness. He summoned the Twelve and began to send them out in pairs and gave them authority over unclean spirits.” After pentecost where the Holy Spirit descend upon 120 in the upper room. The apostles had same authority Jesus had, and performed these sign and wonders, casting out demons, and healed every disease ands sickness; for example, the Apostle John and Peter healed, lame man from birth, Saul who later became the Apostle Paul healed blindness due bright light on Damascus Road, Apostle Peter escaping from prison, while bound by two guards, and the Apostle Paul bitten by deadly snake yet he not harmed. Despite miraculous signs and wonders the apostle mission was to preached the Christ atoning work on the cross, and preached gospel, found in Acts 2 25- 40, Acts 4; 10 -12, Acts 5; 29 -32, Acts 7, Acts 8; 28- 40, Acts 9; 1- 18, Acts 16; 11- 31. The signs and wonders were means preaching the gospel.

Aimee Semple McPherson, On September 26, 1944, McPherson went to Oakland, California, for a series of revivals, planning to preach her popular “Story of My Life” sermon. When McPherson’s son went to her hotel room at 10:00 the next morning, he found her unconscious with pills and a half-empty bottle of capsules nearby. She was dead by 11:15. It was later discovered she previously called her doctor that morning to complain about feeling ill from the medicine, but he was in surgery and could not be disturbed. She then phoned another doctor who referred her to yet another physician; however, McPherson apparently lost consciousness before the third could be contacted. The autopsy did not conclusively determine the cause of McPherson’s death. She had been taking sleeping pills following numerous health problems – including “tropical fever”. Among the pills found in the hotel room was the barbiturate Seconal, a strong sedative which had not been prescribed for her. It was unknown how she obtained them. The coroner said she most likely died of an accidental overdose compounded by kidney failure. The cause of death is officially listed as unknown. Given the circumstances, there was speculation about suicide, but most sources generally agree the overdose was accidental, as stated in the coroner’s report.
