A Suffering Servant And Those Follow His Teaching

He was despised and rejected by men,

a man of suffering who knew what sickness was.

He was like someone people turned away from;

He was despised, and we didn’t value Him.

Isaih 53;3

who, existing in the form of God,

did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. and when He had come as a man in His external form,

He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death Even to death on a cross. Philippians 2; 6-8

But even if you should suffer for righteousness, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear or be disturbed,  but honor the Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to giv e a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.  However, do this with gentleness and respect, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are accused those who denounce your Christian life will be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.  1Peter 3; 17

For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.

 2 Corinthians 4;17

Recently,  developed  a bruise on my lower right leg in which eventually, an Infection occurred, along black spot third toe under the toe nail  and a wound developed. I went to the emergency at St Joseph hospital,

The medical team treated the infection with liquid antibiotics. A nurse were sent to my home treated the wound. Type   A diabetic ulcers which common upon Type two diabetic and which it  was dreadfully painful.

Prior going hospital fear of amputating creep resulting from the black spot on the toe and infection times of doubt crept in wondering why would God why would He allow this to occurs, and why would continue to afflict suffering on those Whom He loved?  What also occurs I acknowledge  my sins scriptures verse pop in my head such as Matthew 6; 34 or Philippians 4; 4-7  in times of trouble water bring source comfort,

In times of trouble of waters, I often would reflect on the life of  Jesus and what He had to endure while dwelling here on earth. Born in a cold damp cave and His crib was a feeding trough. When He was young child His parents fled to Egypt in fear of his life.. The town where He grew up the people was about  ready to toss Him of a cliff Misunderstood and rejected by His own sibling and rejected by own race. Lived constant fear due Pharisee wanted him dead. Accused being Beelzebub by the leaders. His earthly brothers rejected Him and did not believe in Him. Many fled when Jesus He started declaring hard truths. Two of closest friends denied  and betrayed Him. His disciples forsook Him when He was arrested,  Endured several trials during the night, beaten and, whipped, by Roman guards than they crucified even though declared innocent by the Roman authorities.

While nailed to the cross the crowd and two thieves mocked and jeered Him. His own Father forsook Him when  took all Adam curse fell upon Him. Out love for His Father, and mankind He endured Adam’s curse and took the curse. As scripture declares” Smitten of God, and afflicted. But, He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,  Christ willingly went to the cross and sacrifice Himself and took our sins and      His Father wrath to a bridge the gap between His Father and mankind

Consider the Apostle Paul when he penned these words to the Philippians Rejoices!Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer, and petition with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. When writing these words he was In Roman Prison or a dungeon. According to http://www.dl.ket.org/latin2/mores/legallatin/prisons.htm describes following:

This was the entrance to the dungeon, constructed by the orders of the 6th king of Rome, Servius Tullius. Sallust described it as about twelve feet deep into the ground. “Its appearance is disgusting and vile by reason of the filth, the darkness, and the stench.” It was into this room, 6 1/2 ft. high, thirty feet long, and twenty-two feet wide that prisoners who had been condemned to die either by strangulation or starvation were thrown. One attributes the phrase “to be cast into prison” had its origins here. For the sake of the gospel Paul  was willing to endure hardship and  was martyred

The brother Of Jesus wrote these words, Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials. He thrown of the  temple and for sake gospel

The Apostle Peter wrote these words don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you. Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of the Messiah, so that you may also rejoice with great joy at the revelation of His glory. If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. None of you, however, should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler. But, if anyone suffers as a “Christian,” he should not be ashamed but should glorify God in having that name.  For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God? Jesus stated,” Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” He was crucified  upside down and felt unworthy dying like savour

The Apostle Peter and John when facing the Sanhedrin  they were warned not to preached the gospel, and  than they were beaten yet still declared the gospel and rejoiced because they dishonoured on behalf of Christ

Apostle John was exile on isle of  Patmos. He thrown in a vat of hot oil and survived, however disfigured throughout the body all for sake of the gospel.

Despite all the physicals and emotional problem that endured throughout my life is not because of sharing the gospel  is due to Adam’s known sin; however, I believe these present trials will aid me times of trouble waters when share the gospel with unbelievers.

The scripture declares”Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnessessurrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.

Calvin state theses words.he gave a catalogue of the saints who excelled in faith under the Law, even that every one should be prepared to imitate them; and he calls a large multitude. He says that we are so surrounded by this dense throng that wherever we turn our eyes many examples of faith immediately meet us.  Note the word witness the Greek is martus meaning; one who has seen, heard, or knows about the Lord Jesus Christ and is willing to stand up for  that belief when under pressure to deny Christ. In short, to stand firm on Jesus redemptive work despite costs.
