A Better Sacrifice System

A Better Sacrificial System

We will examine the important of the atoning sacrifice on the cross in how Jesus Christ  fulfil the ceremonial laws and did way the sacrificial system and enacted justification by faith.   As Tim Kellar wrote, “ Justification is not merely an abstract theological concept. It is the sense of approval and belonging that every person desires. Justification is more than having our sins forgiven. Justification means that in God’s eyes, we are given Jesus’ perfect record. We are treated as if we had lived the perfect life that Jesus lived. We are given the love that Jesus deserved. We have the same access to the Father that Jesus did. The good news is that all of this comes not from our doing anything, but simply by faith. “ Martin Luther stated, “ Justification is the soul of  and the fountain head of all true comfort and sanctification. penned these words, It is entirely by the intervention of Christ’s righteousness that we obtain justification before God. This is equivalent to saying that man is not just in himself, but that the righteousness of Christ is communicated to him. I believe Martin Lloyd Jones wrote these words, Most christians do not realize the depth of their sin nor the grace God have provide for them so they can freely serve him.

3c461ae2ac50fbadde5f1455f87a611c  When Jesus had received the sour wine from crowd, He shouted said, “It is finished!” Then bowing His head, He gave up His spirit and the curtain of the sanctuary was split in two from top to bottom. The curtain was believe to be four inches thick made of made of fine linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn and embroidered with gold cherubim.

in which covered the HolIes of Holies in which  High Priest from Aaron line would entered once year known as Yom Kippur the day of atonement to sprinkle blood  from sacrificial animal on the mercy seat of the Ark. Atoning for his sins and the people sins.Than God would appear in Holies of Holies found in Leviticus 16; 2 hence the veil to protect the people and the High priest from holiness and purity of God since hatred sin and could not look it

When Jesus uttered it is finished His Father was satisfied with payment of sin since He committed no sin. It no longer necessary to sacrifice sheep, goats, turtle doves, or doves  on daily bases or yearly bases to atones for people sins. As scripture declares,”  For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.”    Furthermore it declares,” Christ was greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands (that is, not of this creation),  He entered the most holy place once for all, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. Further more its states, “ He {Christ} doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do—first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all when He offered Himself.”

Doing away sacrificial systems, and doing away High Priest since Christ became our High Priest, As scriptures declares, “Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.”

The sacrifice of a one  old year lamb without defect at Passover was replaced  with Jesus body. The blood that was shred from the lamb was replaced with Jesus blood. As John Baptist uttered,  “Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Or Jesus when  spoke to crowd  “I am the bread of life. “No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and anyone who believes in Me will never be thirsty again.” Or Jesus declaring to His disciples at Lord Supper, “a new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” As scriptures declares,” This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws on their hearts and write them on their minds.” In short the Jesus did away with the ceremonial laws and the sacrificial systems by willing going to the cross by taking our sins and replacing with His Righteousness. As Scriptures declares, “  He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Therefore we’re ambassadors in Christ proclaiming the atoning work of Christ.
