Jesus Through The Prophet

Jesus Through Old Testament Prophecies

For Jesus, to be the Messiah he needed to fulfill the law and the prophets as  He declare in scripture “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.   To be prophet from God you needed to be 100% accurate, or you would be declare a false prophet and  would be put to death by stoning. As scriptures state, “ but the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. According to Grand Jeffrey in  Armageddon: Appointment With Destiny the odds  five prophecies center one person around  would’ve been  120,00 to 1  for one person to accomplished.  It would like throwing a diamond ring in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and casting fishing line in the ocean and retrieving the diamond back  in one attempt. Never mind the over 300 prophesy on Jesus first coming written in the Old Testament about Him.  I believe Dr. John Macauthor uttered these words once it much easier to performed miracles and a healing than fulfilling prophesies around one  person one hundred percent accurately. Often, someone or a person will make slip up. To accomplished what Jesus fulfilled  though-out Old Testament He either was God or had help from God. Jesus declared  these words Twelve Apostle  about Himself “ Everything that is written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished.”

For example, Jesus had to relay on other such as, Caesar Augustus and  King Herod, not exactly committed follower of  Christ. Caesar Augustus was narcissistic declared a census     throughout the known world. Since Joseph and Mary were born in the line of Kind David they  needed to go to Bethlehem to register their Mary was expecting Jesus at that time, and Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem. Micah 5:2 declares these words But you, Bethlehem  Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

Jesus as a man had no control who his parent would be, since  God revealed to David these words. Through Nathan the prophet Your house and kingdom will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established forever.”Since Joseph and Mary were born in the line of King David  found in Matthew 1; 1- 16 and Luke 3; 23 -38 Jesus was born in line of King David.

Since it is next  to impossible trace, the tree lines of King because of the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD and all birth record were  stored in the temple.  And Jewish people were scattered all over the known world and settling many countries in Europe.

The only family tree that is recorded is found in the Scriptures. In the Old Testament they kept a detail  record of family trees found in Genesis chapter 5, 10.   In king David line his record found in 1 Chronicles 3. The only record they have in King David is found in Matthew 1; 1-16 and Luke 3; 23- 38.

If anything King Herod planned to have Jesus kill when he was a young boy by ordering every child under the age of two. According to Jeremiah  31:15  “A voice is heard in Ramah,  weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” An angel warned Joseph take  his family to Egypt. That child was Jesus.

John the Baptist declares these words to the priests and the Levites  I am  not  the Messiah nor Elijah. Than they asked who he was, John declare these words,“ I am a voice of one crying out in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord! —Just as Isaiah the prophet said.” Isaiah 40; 3 declared, “ Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.  When John saw Jesus  in the distant, He declared, “Here is the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world! “

The New Testament Prophets

Mary the mother Jesus uttered these words, “ My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior,”

When Joseph and Mary handed Jesus over to   Simon He uttered these words, “For my eyes have seen Your salvation You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel Then Simeon  and told His mother Mary: “Indeed, this child is destined to cause the fall and rise of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be opposed and a sword will pierce your own soul—that the thought  of many hearts may be reveal.”

Anna the prophetess about Jesus where she began to thank God, and said these words  “ were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.”

Jesus mission while here on eart was to be a shepherd and of His flock. As a shepherd He was concerned for His fold. Especially those who were wondering and were lost, and would defenseless to the wolves in disguised as false shepherd and  would being fleeced by them. According to Jesus ,” the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.” Jesus was also concerned even one sheep was lost. In one His parable He uttered these words, “What man among you, who has 100 sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the 99 in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it?” Furthermore , He uttered these words, “The healthy don’t need a doctor, but the sick do.” When he spoke to his disciples he said “ I am the good shepherd and will  not forsake them; furthermore, He uttered these words, ”But I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock, one shepherd.”

Throughout old testament, the prophets spoke about  a shepherd who would  tend the sheep that were lost and were without hope and were taking advantage by the false shepherd. The LORD uttered these words to Ezekiel a high priest who conducted his duties between Jerusalem and Babylon. “I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bandage the injured, and strengthened the weak, and destroy false shepherd by uttering these words to,” but I will destroy the fat and the strong. I will shepherd them with justice.”

In Psalm 23 has a beautiful imagery of Good Shepherd

Zachariah the father of  John Baptist predicted these words about a savour that would redeemed the  oppress from the oppressor. Where prophecy these words,” Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,  just as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets in ancient times  salvation from our enemies and from the clutches of those who hate us.”  Furthermore he predicted,” to give His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the Dawn from on high will visit us to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
