Where off in corner in park or mall there is a nativity scene where Mary and Joseph and a child name Jesus who in a crib surround by cattle. Yet to those who follow Christ there is different story to tell. Concerning Jesus who came from heaven to dwell among mankind so can redeem them from the curse of sin. Plus two servant who God used to fulfilled prophesies in the Old Testament.

Mary was a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David.  And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” But, she was very perplexed at this statement and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.  The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.  He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;  and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.”Mary declare these words to the angel  “I am the Lord’s slave, “May it be done to me according to your word.”

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has visited and provided redemption for His people. He has raised up a horn of salvation for the house of His servant David, just as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets in ancient times salvation from our enemies and from the clutches of those who hate us.

She was found to be with a child by the Holy Spirit. And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly. But, when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria.  And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary who was engaged to him, and was with child.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, in {a cave in a feeding trough] because there was no room for them in the inn. Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea.

And the Word {Jesus) became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The angel appeared before the shepherd who were in the field keeping watch over their flock, and was afraid. “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people  Today a Savior who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David. This will be the sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in cloth and lying in a feeding trough.”

Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him.  And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

After Jesus was dedicated just as it is written in the law, for first male who was born.will be dedicated to the Lord  and to offer a sacrifice (according to what is stated in the law of the Lord: a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.

Than Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and risen of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed— and a sword will pierce even your own soul—to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

Now, Master, You can dismiss Your slave in peace, as You promised. For my eyes have seen Your salvation. You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples— a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel. His father and mother were amazed at what was being said about Him.

A prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years and had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage,  and then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple, serving night, and day with fastings and prayers. At that very [moment she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.

But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart.

The gifts that we received from our love ones are temporary; however, the gift that we received from God through His Son Jesus Christ is everlasting.  As scripture declares My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Or another scripture,  Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. To me this, greatest gift God gave to man. As scripture declares, “ For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift not from works, so that no one can boast.” Or Jesus is the reason for the season.

Mounce’s Complete Expository Dictionary defines redemption as following Paul uses this verb twice in Galatians to refer to the spiritual redemption that Jesus accomplished for us through his death on the cross. Christ’s purpose in entering the world at just the right time was to redeem those who were enslaved to sin and the curse of the law (Gal 4:5; cf. 3:10). How did he do this? By suffering the death of a curse (3:13). In other words, the sinless, uncursed Christ suffered an accursed death (cf. Deut 21:23) so that he could remove God’s curse from us!

Nelson Illustrated Bible Dictionary define  redemption: from salvation from sin, death, and the wrath of God by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

Eastern Bible Dictionary defines salvation, great deliverance from the guilt and the pollution of sin wrought out by Jesus Christ. Or deliverance from the power of sin and redemption. Nelson Bible Dictionary defines it as a; Central act in the life of a Christian by which he or she is brought into a right relationship with God through the redemptive grace of Jesus Christ, forgiven of sins, adopted as the child of God, and given eternal life.
