Pentecostal Birth Of The Church Era
2 When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. 3 And tongues, like flames of fire that were divided, appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them ability for speech. Acts 2; 1-4
Pentecostal means the fiftieth day the fourth mayor feasts of Israel. In which they celebrate the Shavuot Festival in the third-month Jewish calendar an on the sixth of Sivan
God specifically told the Israelites that they were to count seven Sabbaths (seven complete weeks) from First-fruits Leviticus 23:15; Than the day after Sabbaths celebrate Shavuot.
Leviticus 23; 15- 21 “You are to count seven complete weeks starting from the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the presentation offering. 16 You are to count 50 days until the day after the seventh Sabbath and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord. 17 Bring two loaves of bread from your settlements as a presentation offering, each of them made from four quarts of fine flour, baked with yeast, as first-fruits to the Lord. 18 You are to present with the bread seven unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, with their grain offerings and drink offerings, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 19 You are also to prepare one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old as a fellowship sacrifice. 20 The priest will wave the lambs with the bread of first-fruits as a presentation offering before the Lord; the bread and the two lambs will be holy to the Lord for the priest. 21 On that same day you are to make a proclamation and hold a sacred assembly. You are not to do any daily work. This is to be a permanent statute wherever you live throughout your generations.
John MacArthur Studies Bible wrote,” The Feast of Weeks (May/June) dedicated the first-fruits of the wheat harvest (cf. Ex. 23:16; Num. 28:26–31; Deut. 16:9–12). It occurred on the 50th day after the Sabbath preceding the Feast of First-fruits. It is also known as the Feast of Harvest (Ex. 23:16) and Pentecost, Gr. For 50 (Acts. 2:1).
KJV Bible Commentary Pentecost symbolized the thankfulness of a people who were not only grateful for the first fruits of the grain harvest but who looked forward to the culmination of the harvest season in the fall. On the Feast of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was first poured out on the apostles (Acts 2:1–4).
Matthew Henry The feast of Weeks was held in remembrance of the giving of the law, fifty days after the departure from Egypt; and looked forward to the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, fifty days after Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us. On that day the apostles presented the first-fruits of the Christian church to God.
To the institution Commentary of the feast of Pentecost, is added a repetition of that law, by which they were required to leave the gleanings of their fields. Those who are truly sensible of the mercy they received from God, will show mercy to the poor without grudging.
John MacArthur Studies Bible wrote, “Where they would dedicated the first-fruits of the wheat harvest (cf. Ex. 23:16; Num. 28:26–31; Deut. 16:9–12). On that same day you are to make a proclamation and hold a sacred assembly. You are not to do any daily work. This is to be a permanent statute wherever you live throughout your generations.

The Gathering Of The Harvest
Before Jesus His death He utters these words, “Open your eyes, and look at the fields, for they are readyfor harvest. The reaper is already receiving pay, and gathering fruit for eternal life, so the sower, and reaper can rejoice together. For in this case the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ I sent you to reap what you didn’t labor for; others have labored, and you have benefited fromtheir labor.”
Furthermore He states, “But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Jesus declared to His disciples these words, “but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit {pneúma meaning wind or breath}not many days from now.” And you will receive power {dunamis miraculous) power,} when the Holy Spirit {pneúma} has come on you, and you will be My witnesses {martus bear witness, give evidence} in Jerusalem, in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
When the day of Pentecost {pentékosté meaning Fifty or Shavuot a feast held on the sixth and seventh days of Sivan} had arrived, they were all together in one place. Suddenly, a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying. And tongues, like flames of fire that were divided, appeared to them and rested on each one of them. Then, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit {pneúma} and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit {pneúma} gave them ability for speech {speaking another language}.
But, some sneered and said, “They’re full of new wine!” But, Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them: “Men of Judah and all you residents of Jerusalem, let me explain this to you and pay attention to my words. For these people are not drunk! On the contrary, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity! Peter began to explain why Jesus was nailed Him to the cross and preached the atoning work of Christ. When the crowd heard this they came under deep conviction and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: “Brothers, what must we do?” “Repent,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and 3,000 people were added to them.
Eastern Bible Dictionary describes,” The day of Pentecost is noted in the Christian Church as the day on which the Spirit descended upon the apostles, and on which, under Peter’s preaching, so many thousands were converted in Jerusalem Acts 2” Encyclopedia of The Bible wrote, “It is almost universally agreed among theologians that Pentecost marks the beginning of the Church as an institution.” Scriptures declares But each in his own order: Christ, the first-fruits; afterward, at His coming, those who belong to Christ. In short, the day of Pentecost was birth of the Church era.
The follower of Christ would proclaim these words,” Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus who has been appointed for you as the Messiah. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it.“
We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had murdered by hanging Him on a tree. God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man {Jesus} forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you, and everyone who believes in Him {Jesus }is justified {dikaiōthēnai is freed from all things}, from everything that you could not be justified {dikaioutai that no one is justified by the Law] from the law of Mose,
Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”ÓÓ
Finally, Jesus declared to Saul also call Paul, “ÒÒFor I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant {hupéretés a minister of the gospel}. And a witness {martus} of what you have seen and of what I will reveal to you. By faith in Me they may receive forgiveness {aphesis release or pardon} of sins {hamartia missing the mark} and a share among those who are sanctified {hagiasmos set apart}.’ That the Messiah must suffer, and that as the first to rise from the dead, He would proclaim light to our people and to the Gentiles.”ÓÓ Some were persuaded by what he said, but others did not believe.
During the thirty year period and the Lord continue to added, daily to those who believe and now is saved.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself that where I am you may be also. John 14:1-3
After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb. They were robed in white with palm branches in their hands. Revelation 7:9
Matthew Henry Commentary first fruits of Christ having led the way, the Gentiles converted later follow, and ascribe their salvation to God and the Redeemer, with triumph. In acts of religious worship we come nigh to God, and must come by Christ; the throne of God could not be approached by sinners, were it not for a Mediator. They were clothed with the robes of justification, holiness, and victory; and they had palms in their hands, as conquerors used to appear in their triumphs. Such a glorious appearance will the faithful servants of God make at last, when they have fought the good fight of faith, and finished their course. With a loud voice, they gave to God and the Lamb the praise of the great salvation.
