Asaph meaning collector was a gatekeeper from the line Korah one of David’s worship leaders (see Ps. 39 introduction and 1 Chron. 15:17ff.; 16:4ff. A group of eleven psalms attributed to Asaph is found in 73–83.
Psalm 50; 16-21 But God says to the wicked:“What right do you have to recite My statutes and to take My covenant on your lips? You hate instruction and turn your back on My words.”

Furthermore he wrote.”And thus, if a monk rise from the bed of his adultery to chant a few psalms without one spark of godliness in his breast, or if a whoremonger, a thief, or any foresworn villain, seeks to make reparation for his crimes by mass or pilgrimage, they would be loath to consider this lost labour. By God, on the other hand, such a disjunction of the form from the inward sentiment of devotion is branded as sacrilege.

For example there are some follower of Christ would say I am preaching the gospel or they really believe they’re evangelical thinking are they really ?
A true Christian evangelism would declare Jesus as Lord, and preaches we’re all sinner and need to be atones for theirs sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. As Jesus declares, “For this is My blood that establishes the covenant; it is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. As scriptures declares. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.” Yet another passages states, “Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.”
Helping someone in need is good thing for instance serving hot beverage on cold day or warming clothing to those who are need on chilly night or assisting some who need help establishing themselves in Canada are noble things, however, is the gospel ? While some uses this tool as a means reaching the lost while others use as a social gospel yet they call it the gospel or evangelizing. In reality they hated Christ’s instruction and his atoning works and they persecuted those who teach it even thou they tend to declare they’re speaking on Christ behave, when they’re rejecting the true gospel? As Jesus declared, I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.In short they only ofter lip serve to Christ
The best way unmasks their hypocrite falsehood is to test them. As scriptures declares, Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.
