Trouble Waters

  Trouble Waters

Jesus declares his disciples,” Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” To me one, hardest command to follow is Do not let. Your hearts be troubled. Or don’t worry about anything !!! When conflicts occur in my life, I often fret and worry like disciples these things trouble me instead trusting God I stew. CS Lewis Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say  “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.”

In short, I am sinning because I am not trusting God, stewing and allowing conflict trouble me. In article  by Wayne Stiles called,  When God Takes Something Away from You asks, What do our raw emotions reveal about our hearts when God takes away something wonderful? Rather than praise God for the time we enjoyed His blessings—we tend to resent His sovereign prerogative to confiscate them.

Chuck Swindoll there isn’t any statues name after afflictions, adversities, or conflicts  yet this is very tool God uses this tool help us grow; shape us  and we become more mature follower if Christs  C.S. Lewis “We can ignore even pleasure. But, pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”  The Apostle Paul wrote four epistles while in Roman prison. Prison life in Paul times was not like prison in America, where our human rights mentality so deeply embedded in our heads. Prisons in the days of Paul were not pleasant or healthy. Put in chains to prevent them from escaping food was provide from family and friends the amount food was half that slaves were given. Prisoner would die due lack air or  illness. In Acts 16; 16-38  Paul and Silas were thrown in such prison

Yet t Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God The jailer drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped, however, Paul ensured that they did not escape. The prison guard and household accepted the Lord and were baptizes.

There was two-year period where he was under house arrest in Rome. Paul’s imprisonment in Rome is verified by the book of Acts, where we find references to his being where he  was guarded by soldiers (Acts 28:16), being permitted to receive visitors (Acts 28:30), and having opportunities to share the gospel (Acts 28:31).

His other two-year imprisonment, in Caesarea, afforded him no such luxuries. So it is generally accepted that Paul’s Roman incarceration produced three great letters to the churches of Ephesus, Colosse, and Philippi, as well as a personal letter to his friend Philemon.

Where the Philippians epistle is known as a joy letter. There are 15 explicit references to some form of either the noun “joy” (chara in Greek) or the verb “rejoice” (chairo) in this short letter. chara:  means joy, gladness, a source of joy, or  calm delight: —

gladness; calmly happy or well-off; chairo means to rejoice, or be glad or to rejoice exceedingly

When my brother Maynard died in car accident it totality devastated me and was afraid. When in the backyard at 47, my mother and sister were singing beautiful situation. How can this tragic   situation be so beautiful? If anything this situation was awful not   beautifull

y Rejoice {Chairo} in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice {Chairo}! 5 Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer, and petition with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

Remember Paul wrote the Philippians letter in Caesarea prison in short a hell hole or dungeon where he spent two years of his life.

When this passage came alive when extremely sick in Boston visiting my sister Marcia with my mother during this illness experencing horrible vision in  which I was terrified, however, Philippians 4:4-7 brought along with Matthew 6:34  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Where In my journal Thank God there someone names Jesus who protected his saints when they call upon His name. He comfort and protect us when we’re a lowest point. I felt His presence.  The doctor discovered pneumonia in my right lung in would kill me if did not treat it The nurse gave two shots antibiotic six oral pills told get home and see the doctor

When the infection start leaving my body and finality able to sleep.  When I had woke up, I thought I was in hell, and I wanted to escape. When I heard mother voice in the background , I fought like hell to escape the horrible place in. In the distant I heard my mother voice, stating these words Richard !!! Call Rick, Peter and Crossroads and pray!! For Paul ! in an instant, that gruesome scene vanishes and I went back to sleep and slept soundly.

While driving home I felt  the peace of God, which surpasses any understanding Jesus, was guarding my hearts and minds in Him

Second time when I discovered a black spot on my second right foot Where I went to an emergency I kept reciting Matthew 6:34 Philippians 4:4-7 . While waiting for the doctor when he finally  saw me he put on iv antibiotic right away the chief orthopaedic surgeon and the head emergency doctor came up with a strategy in how treat the wound 2nd and big toe to me the toe  was dead; however, maybe they could save it.

That day they found a bed in the medical unit where I saw diabetic and wound nurse  because my sugar level were to high

Prior this incident I was  egotist arrogant cocky SOB thought could ignore wound and sugar level. I acknowledge my fault before God and the medical staff, and vow to myself take steps alter and put myself under care medical staff.

Dr Porte orthopaedic surgeon removed toe while I stun by me, Jesus Christ is still Lord yesterday and still Lord today. Bob Durko, “The Blood of Christ is most powerful force on the earth.”

To me, we have a great medical system in Ontario not perfect I graceful for emergency, medical, orthopaedic surgeon, Physical Therapist, VON nurses, Orthotic  and Dr Mayer his team who constantly caring for feet   able because I was receiving money and benefits ODSP  I was able purchase Orthotic soles and shoes. I went back school completed my grade Twelve

Most important I was caregiver for my mother she able died, in home around her child and grandchildren or a follower of Christ would they would fall asleep and wakeup in heaven

A pastor once said who said any good is all that good anything all that bad really all that bad. His point the Apostle Paul was prevented visiting Roman believer even desire to see them because prevent from seeing them Because he wrote Romans letter not only that they benefit from it, but it  put in the canon of scriptures where all who read from it would hear the gospel plainly written so even wise and the fools, barbarians, and scholarly. Would understand the gospel for there is for there is no distinction
