Mary Mother Of Jesus

 Luke 1;31-45

Mary mother of Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, born in Nazareth  and in the line of king David she was engaged to Joseph they were both in the line King David. Joseph was in royal line King David found in Matthew 1; 2-16 and Mary family tree is found Luke 3; 23-38. As promise in 2 Samuel 7:12-13  Where the royal established  in King Solomon line where the royal   1 Chronicles 3:5–8 and 1 King 1:30,

She bore him four sons and several daughters, theirs names areJames, Joses, Judas and Simon, and the daughters were unnamed (Matthew 13:55, 56; Mark 6:3) She was relative of Elizabeth from the tribe of Aaron who married to Zachariah was a high priest, and the parent of John Baptist. Where the Angel of Gabriel appear before her  proclaiming that should she would have a son and that Holy Spirit will overshadow her and impregnate her . She only women who had a child without being intimate  with another man, and the child name is Jesus who came into the world to redeem mankind from the curse of sins.

While the Catholic doctrine believes in the Immaculate Conception; however, Mary was a godly young woman (Luke 1:28) but she not without sin. Since she herself refers to herself who needing a Savour in (Luke 1:47

1:33  Since the second Temple was destroyed in 70 AD were all the family tree of the Jewish descendant were kept in great details and they were scattered throughout Europe and Asia, and  would have been impossible  to trace Judah line never mind David line found in 2 Samuel 7:12-13 especially King Solomon line where the royal line was established, in 1 Chronicles 3:5–8 and 1 King 1:30, Believer Commentary wrote,” It seems obvious that the Messianic line ended with the Lord Jesus. No one else can ever present a valid legal claim to the throne of David.

However, there is a record  found in  Luke 3; 23-38 and Matthew 1; 1-16  this was the line of King David Mary and Joseph was in king David line. Mary was found in Luke 3; 23-38 for example in Luke 3 (v. 23) was the father-in-law of Joseph and the father of Mary.also was descended from David through his son Nathan (v. 31 Solomon brother. Joseph  line found in Matthew 1; 1-16 where in Matthew 1:6 it states Solomon mother of Bathsheba. Where royal line was established as promise by King David found in 1 Chronicles 3:5–8 and 1 King 1:30. Since God promised King David that his line would reign forever found in 2 Samuel 7:12-13 However,Joseph was not Jesus’ true father since the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary found in Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23.

Believer Commentary wrote, In Jeremiah 22:30 God pronounced a curse on this man: Thus says the LORD:” Write this man down as childless, A man who shall not prosper in his days; For none of his descendants shall prosper, Sitting on the throne of David, And ruling anymore in Judah. The nations of Jewish people were capture and were into exile into Babylon where they.cease ruling on the throne; however, the family tree continued on until Joseph

“If Jesus had been the real son of Joseph, He could redeemed mankind from the of their sin.Since Joseph was also part of Adam curse where  Jesus could not be  the true lamb of God that would take away the sin of the world. As scriptures declares,” I was sinful when my mother conceived me. For I am conscious of my rebellion, and my sin is always before me. Yet, He had to be the legal son of Joseph in order to inherit the rights to the throne of David.

The problem was solved by the miracle of the virgin birth: Jesus was the legal heir to the throne through Joseph. He was the real Son of David through Mary. The curse on Jeconiah did not fall on Mary or her children since she did not descend from Jeconiah shall not prosper, “Yet He had to be the legal son of Joseph in order to inherit the rights to the throne of David.

When God had pronounced a curse on the snake found in Genesis 3:15, I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed, and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his {Jesus} heel. Since the seed had needed to be implanted by a man for woman to become pregnant the seed needed to be without defect hence. The Holy Spirit impregnated Mary with a seed.

Also, the Son of God needed to experience every human tempting every difficult situation known to mankind yet without sinning.  As scripture declares, ” but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet he did not sin. In short, Jesus needed to be both God and mankind to conquered sin.  The genealogy nonetheless establishes Jesus claim to the throne of David as Joseph’s legal heir.

Luke 1:38; While Mary said yes NIV Student Bible wrote,”Saying yes to God usually involves sacrifice. It did for Mary who endured the doubts of her fiancé and the scorn of neighbors who saw her pregnant before marriage. Saying yes meant bearing the pain of childbirth. It meant fleeing to far-off Egypt to protect her baby from Herod’s soldiers. It meant raising a child she did not completely understand. (Once during his ministry she came to take charge of Jesus, thinking him out of his mind [see Mark 3:21].) Hardest of all, it meant watching her son die on the cross.

In Biblical times, no women could ever, get pregnant without having sex with a man  in Jewish cultures adultery was punishable by death by stoning under the Mosaic law. Deut. 22:23, 24.NIV Culture Background Bible Study wrote, “For a woman who was betrothed but not yet married to be pregnant violated social standards.”

When Holy Spirit impregnated Mary carrying a wonderful gift; however,  she would eventually would have to reported to her future husband Joseph that Holy Spirit impregnated  with a Son. While it was honour to be chosen by God to conceived the Holy One without sin. Even thou she was  telling the truth it would very difficult pitch this to her future husband

The only logical conclusion Joseph could that Mary was pregnant by another man not by the Holy Spirit  in other words, that she had committed adultery under the Mosaic law. Deut. 22:23, 24. A common response would be been that Joseph would been very upset for “plowing her  heifer. As scripture declares “For jealousy enrages a hush and , and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge. He will not be appeased by anything or be persuaded by lavish gifts.”

The Gospel of Matthew explains that Jospeh was a “righteous man, yet unwilling to expose [Mary] to shame” so he decided to “divorce her quietly.” If he follow through it would bring great shame to Mary and her family; however, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be   afraid to   take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins. While Joseph did honourable thing by honouring engagement. In Luke, 2:5 Mary still engaged to Josep and was pregnant with Jesus while travelling to Bethlehem.

The Jewish society frown upon permissive women often shun them Dr Charles Stanley wrote,” Jewish tradition demanded harsh treatment for unmarried pregnant women. Religious leaders would have dealt with her severely.

Luke 2:5 To be registered along with Mary who was engaged to him and was pregnant.

In John, 8:41  The Jew’s leader also accused Jesus being  illegitimate child meaning. The Jews knew the story about Mary’s betrothal and that Joseph was not Jesus’ real father; thus, they implied that Jesus’ birth was illegitimate.  Often, Roman Solider would sleep with young women in local community promising great wealth or forces them to have sex Remember Mary was chosen by God and did not sex with another man

in Luke 1:27 Mary was still a virgin and engaged with Joseph and admitted herself that never being intimate with a man. The angel Gabriel  uttered these words in Luke 1:28  Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you, and furthermore He stated in

Luke 1:30, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. ” In short Mary had to bear the shame it   Mary was  willing to bear the disgrace Even thou she was carrying the greatest gift that God gave to mankind His Son Jesus Christ, and she agreed to these term wilily.  In Luke, 1:38  Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.”

The people in her day view her with shame. However, those who sins had been redeemed by Christ view her as a blessed mother who bore the Savour of the world that redeemed mankind from Adams curses

In short, Mary child would be the Savour of the World taking mankind sins. He’s known as the second Adam. As holy prophets in ancient times had predicted in Genesis 3:15, it about to be fulfilled foretold in the Old Testament by the prophets. He would remove Adam and Eve curse as promise by God  and sealed with a convent by killing an animal  Genesis 3:21  a fore shadow of the reality that God would someday kill a substitute to redeem sinners burden of sin .

This child would be abolished the ceremonial law found in Leviticus 4-6,16  Since it was It be impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. He became the lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world replace the lamb found in Exodus 12; 13, Genesis 3; 21, and Genesis 22; 13 note the phase, ” took the ram, and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.”

As scripture declares, “He entered the most holy place once for all, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.” Bob Durtko said The Blood of Christ is most powerful force on the earth.” George Macleod wrote; I simply argue that the cross should be raised at the center of the marketplace as well as on the steeple of the church. I am recovering the claim that Jesus was not  crucified in a cathedral between two candles, but on a cross between two thieves.

Lastly, Dr John Stott wrote about follower of Christ, “Who am I? What is myself? The answer is that I am Jekyll and Hyde a mix up kids, having both dignity because I was created had been re-created in the image of God, and depravity because I have fallen and rebellious nature. I am both noble, ignoble beautiful, ugly good, bad, upright, and twisted image and child of God yes sometimes yielding obsequious homage to the devil from whose clutches Christ has rescue me. My true self is what I am by creation which Christ came to redeem, by calling myself what I am I am by the fall, which Christ came destroy.”

P. P. Bliss wrote, “I will sing of my Redeemer and his wondrous love to me; on the cruel cross he suffered, from the curse to set

me free. Sing, O sing of my Redeemer! With his blood, he purchased me; on the cross he sealed my pardon, paid the debt, and made me free.  I will tell the wondrous story, how my lost estate

to save, ”  He was not only her child; he was her Lord and savour. To that, Mary said yes.

As a follower of Christ if Mary was willing bear the shame for accused of being a permissive women even thou she not commit adultery and  still was a virgin  found in 1:271:30 , 1:34. Lastly Angel Gabriel declares in 1:28 Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you.

Are we willing bear the insults hardship and being called idiot for believing in Christ atoning works As Apostle Paul wrote,” Five times I received 39 lashes from Jews. Three times I was beaten with rods by the Romans. Once I was stoned by my enemies. Three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the open sea. On frequent journeys, I faced dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my own people, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the open country, dangers on the sea, and dangers among false brothers; labor and hardship, many sleepless nights, hunger and thirst, often without food, cold, and lacking clothing. Further he wrote. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.

Thomas Drowry

Prior execution Bishop Hooper he examined a blind boy concerning his faith and the cause of his imprisonment. He looked on him steadfastly, tears standing in his eyes, and said, “Ah! Poor boy, God hath taken from thee thy outward sight, for what reason He best knoweth; but He hath endued thy soul with the eye of knowledge and faith. God gives thee grace continually to pray unto Him, that thou lose not that sight, for thou wouldst then be blind both in body and soul.” The boy’s name was Thomas Drowry.  He was blind; however, when one sense goes they the developed the other senses such as your hearing , and the ability to recall recite the exact words spoken to them.

Thomas Drowry had such abilities while being examined Dr. Williams, Chancellor of Gloucester, He asks “Dost thou not believe that after the words of consecration, spoken by the priest, there remaineth the very real body of Christ in the sacrament of that altar?” “No,” answered the blind boy, “that I do not.”

Than the Bishop condemn as a heretic ask him who taught you this heresy?  You, Master Chancellor pointing toward pulpit ‘When you preached there ” (naming a day) “a sermon to all men, as well as me, upon the sacrament. You said the sacrament was to be received spiritually, by faith.

On May, 15th 1556 Thomas Drowry was taken to the stake in Gloucester. Place fasten to the pole and executioner lit fire went and consumed by the flames; however, the first person he saw was Jesus the Son of God. Entering through the Gates of Splendour and receiving the martyr crowns.

Joan Waste.

Joan was born in 1534 and had twin brother named Roger to a Derby barber, William Waste and his wife Joan. She was born blind.

While Edward was upon the throne, the people of England had church services in their own language instead of Latin.

Joan was moved by the Holy Spirit to go to hear the Bible readings and sermons. She was converted to Christ her Saviour. Who has found own poor lost blind sheep and gave her a new of saving faith along with spiritual insight.

Even thou she was blind she wanted a Bible even thou the books were very expensive. She able saves enough to purchase a New Testament by applying her trade knitting and making rope. Even thou it took her time or two find someone to read the Bible. Eventually, she found an elderly man in Derby Gaol called John Hurt who said he would gladly read to her everyday a chapter until illness finally rendered him from reading However, she able find someone else to even thou cost her every time someone read her the investment paying off.

Joan was able to recite long passages of Scripture, and refuted all false doctrines, and rebuked those sinned against the Bible, exhort those commit their lives to Christ or face Judgement

In 1553, Queen Mary came to the throne and in January 1555 it was made illegal by Parliament to hold Protestant view were expected to attend Roman Catholic Masses. Nonetheless, Joan would not submit to heresy of the Roman Catholic dogma and believe that the Scriptures had the finial authority not the pope. She also denied the Sacrament of the Altar where the body and the blood of Christ transubstantiation, in the bread, and wine.  Immediately, the Bishop requested that Joan turn away from the faith of the Bible, and trust in the Holly Church.

At this point, the Bishop and his Chancellor became angry. First, they tried to persuade her that the Son of God was easily and regularly brought down and changed into bread and wine but, when it was clear that she would not listen, they threatened her with imprisonment, torture, and death if she refused to believe in this “Sacrament of the Altar.”

Then, she reminded her hearers that a number of sincere Christians had recently been imprisoned and then burnt to death for believing the same things that she did rather than embrace the doctrines of Rome, boldly she went on,  “Are you prepared to die for your doctrine? If not, then for God’s sake stop troubling me no more. I am but a poor, blind, uneducated woman, but with God’s help I am ready to yield up my life in this faith.”

On August 1st 1556, she taken to Windmill Pit were many of her brothers and sisters were martyred because their faith in Jesus Christ. Before her execution, she called upon the multitude to pray for her. That Christ would have mercy upon her. Where the light of the everlasting sun of righteousness would beamed upon her when the departed spirit.
