The First Two Prophesies At Jesus Birth

The Old Testament prophets foretold a future Messiah. In gospel the Matthew in the first 4 chapters, he uses five old testament prophesies concerning about the messiah. Zechariah prophesied that Messiah has already arrived. In Luke 1:67 Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied and the prophesies centre around one person Jesus.

According to Grand Jeffrey in the book called Armageddon: Appointment With Destiny the odds anyone fulfilling five prophecies centre around the messiah would been 120,00 to 1 for one person to accomplished. It would like throwing a diamond ring in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and casting fishing line in the ocean and retrieving the diamond back. The prohiesies center around His death on the cross, and why He perished. For example Simeon uttered these words, For my eyes have seen Your salvation. You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples— a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel. and a sword will pierce your own soul—that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. Anna uttered these words, she came up and began to thank God and to speak about Him to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking forward to Israel’s consolation, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he saw the Lord’s Messiah. Luke 2:25-26

Note; For my eyes have seen Your salvation. You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples— a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel.”

Luke 2:34 (ENTVIIII): Simeon blessed them both; though this blessing of his may take in also the young child Jesus; whom he might pronounce blessed, as Elizabeth before had done, ch. 1:42 since he was the promised seed, in whom all nations of the earth should be blessed; and to whom, and to whose undertakings, interest, and kingdom, he might wish all prosperous success.

Thepersons raised to have been in a low estate, as all God’s elect by nature are: they are in a hopeless and helpless condition in themselves: they are in a state of thraldom and bondage, to sin, Satan, and the law; they are filled with diseases, nauseous, mortal, and incurable; they are clothed in rags, and are beggars on the dunghill; they are deep in debt, and have nothing to pay; and are dead in trespasses and sins. Christ is now provided and appointed, for the raising them up out of their low estate, and he does do it; he is the resurrection and the life unto them. He is the resurrection and the life unto them; he raises from the death of sin, to a life of grace and holiness from him, to a life of faith on him, and communion with him here, and to eternal life. He pays all their debts, clothes them with his righteousness, heals all their diseases, redeems them from the slavery of sin the captivity of Satan, and the bondage and curse of the law.

There was also a prophetess, Anna, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was well along in years, having lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and was a widow for 84 years. She did not leave the temple complex, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers. At that very moment, she came up and began to thank God and to speak about Him to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on Him.Luke 2:35-38,40.

Note, At that very moment, she came up and began to thank God and to speak about Him to all who were note looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Luke 2:38 (ENTVIIII): just as Simeon was embracing him in his arms, and blessing God for him, and saying the things concerning him he had done; and who also came at that juncture, as he did, under the impulse, and by the direction of the spirit of God; gave thanks likewise unto the Lord: praised him, as he had done, that he had sent the promised, and long-looked-for Messiah and Saviour; and that she had lived to see his blessed face, and this happy day; and that she should be directed to come in at this instant, and be favoured with this singular mercy of seeing the new-born Saviour

Luke 2:38 (ENTVIIII): Some versions, as the Syriac, Arabic, and Ethiopic read, the redemption of Jerusalem; not literally, but spiritually understood, even the redemption of the church of Christ, which is often so called: and others, as the Persic version, the redemption of Israel; that is, of spiritual Israel:

Note The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on Him.

Note God’s grace was on Him. Dr. John Gils And the child grew, &c.] In body, in strength, and in stature; which shews that it was a true body Christ assumed, and like ours, which did not come to its maturity at once, but by degrees. The Persic and Ethiopic versions read, was strengthened in, or by the Holy Spirit; with the grace and gifts of it; but the former sense is best.

Concerning Simeon, Anna, and Zechariah and wife Elezabeth uttered these words, mother of my Lord should come to me,You are the most blessed, and her husband uttered these words, He has provided redemption for His people, and His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. Simeon and Anna uttered these words, looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem and For my eyes have seen Your salvation.

Since Simeon, Anna Zechariah, Elizabeth well along in year’s they however, they witness the birth of Christ nevertheless, they were not around when Jesus started His ministry or His death on the cross They predicted that Jesus would be the Savior of the world. For example, Simeon uttered these words, and a sword will pierce your own soul. Zechariah, was high priest, understood the sin offerings since administer Sacraments he uttered, He has raised up a horn of salvation. to give His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.

Mary uttered these words, my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. Joseph Mary’s wife where angel reveals to him, She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.” Or angel appeared before shepherd in fields, Today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David.

Jesus predicted his death and resurrection found in, Mark 8:31, Mark 9:30-32, and, Mark 10:32- 34. Jesus also stated, “Destroy this sanctuary, and I will raise it up in three days.”

But He was speaking about the sanctuary of His body. So when He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this. And they believed the Scripture and the statement Jesus had made.

John 2:19,21-22

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28
