It is worth noting that Mary was the only women who was pregnant without knowing a man and yet she said Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word, an she willingly toface the shame and embarrassment in the Jewish societyshe live. A pregnancy before caused her to be shunned out of her community.  A scandal!  To be pregnant before marriage was grounds for divorce in the Old Testament.Since it is widely known that Joseph was not Jesus’ father as states in Scripture We were not born of sexual immorality.
